Discovery & Vision
The process starts with understanding the property, the people, and the broader vision behind the project. Early conversations often explore lifestyle, entertaining, family routines, future growth, architectural character, budget expectations, and how the property should feel over time.
Site opportunities, constraints, circulation, views, orientation, and natural relationships are studied early so the architecture begins with a strong foundation rather than surface-level styling.
Following the initial consultation, a design proposal is prepared outlining the anticipated scope, services, and project path forward.

Land, Planning, & Exploration
Once engaged, the project moves into early site and vision studies. Existing conditions, survey information, land characteristics, views, circulation, architectural influences, and project priorities are evaluated before formal design begins.
This phase often includes sketch studies, precedent imagery, planning discussions, and early conversations about scale, budget, and construction approach.

Design & Visualization
Initial concepts are developed through hand sketches, floor plans, and immersive 3D modeling that allow clients to experience the project spatially long before construction begins.
Rather than relying solely on technical drawings, Stag & Timber develops projects visually throughout the process using modeling, perspectives, walkthroughs, and real-time refinement to help clients better understand scale, proportion, natural light, and overall architectural character.

Refinement & Coordination
As the design evolves, the project is refined through increasingly detailed modeling, visualization, consultant coordination, and material development. Floor plans, elevations, site relationships, and architectural details are studied together to ensure the project remains cohesive and buildable.
Depending on project scope, renderings, walkthroughs, and additional visualization studies may also be developed to help communicate the design with greater clarity.

Construction & Stewardship
Final construction documents are developed in coordination with the broader consultant and construction team to prepare the project for permitting and execution.
During construction, Stag & Timber remains involved through ongoing collaboration, site observation, and design support to help maintain continuity between the architectural vision and the built work.
